Join us on an exhilarating Sea Turtle Snorkel experience at the Riviera Maya’s only natural Sea Turtle sanctuary at Akumal Bay. Take a 30min ferry ride from Cozumel to the Playa del Carmen from where your personal guide will drive you on a 30min drive along the Riviera Maya to Akumal Bay. Akumal is located 30min south of Playa Del Carmen and its pristine tranquil waters are no deeper than 6-8 feet and are protected by a barrier reef where the Logger Head Sea Turtles enter daily to feed on sea grass and are very peaceful and friendly. Snorkel for up to 50min taking this unique opportunity of viewing the Turtles from a distance 3-4 feet in their natural habitant apart from the abundant Marine life which you can encounter at the Bay, from Manta Rays to large schools of exotic fish. After this unique experience we invite you to enjoy our mile long white sandy beach for about 2 hours on the shore line of this beautiful bay where a lunch buffet & open bar are awaiting for you.

SNORKEL AT SEA TURTLE SANCTUARY & YALKU LAGOON

Join us on an exhilarating snorkel experience at the Riviera Maya’s most recommended snorkel sites. Enjoy a 30min ferry ride from Cozumel to Playa del Carmen where you will meet your guide that will escort you in a Van for about 30min in a group no larger than 12 passengers per Van along the Riviera Maya. We will make our way to Yal Ku Lagoon which is located off the beaten path. Its’ pristine waters are unbelievably abundant with Marine life such as Parrot, Angel and more exotic fish. The tranquil waters are no deeper than 6 feet and make the 45min snorkel experience which is safe and easy for all levels. After a stay of about a 1hr &15min we continue on a 10min van ride to Akumal´s white sandy beaches for an approximate 3hrs beach break. Once at the beach we are going to enjoy this rare opportunity to explore and Snorkel for an additional 45min along side Logger-Head Sea Turtles of the open ocean in waters no deeper than 8 feet. The Turtles enter the bay daily to feed on its sea grass and are very peaceful and friendly. After this unique experience we invite you to enjoy our mile long white sandy beach for about 2hrs on the shore line of this beautiful bay where a lunch buffet & open bar are awaiting for you before we will make our way back to Playa Del Carmen on a 30min ride and board the ferry back to Cozumel.

- Round trip transportation from Playa Del Carmen - All Entrance fee's to Akumal Bay. - Full Snorkel Gear (inflatable life vest, mask & fins) - Lunch & Open Bar during a 45min beach break at Akumal. - Bilingual guides; 12 guests per one guide.

OTHER NOTES:

For preserving the Lagoon and the Sea Turtles, only Biodegradable Sun Tan lotion can be used. No physical contact is permitted with the Sea Turtles. Pickups: Cozumel – At the Ferry Pier & Riviera Maya or Playa Del Carmen - at Señor Frogs Playa Del Carmen.

Wild Tours meeting point is at Ferries Pier 30 Minutes prior to departure time. The Ferries Pier is located on the Rafael E. Melgar Street in down town Cozumel. Passengers arriving by Cruise Ship to the Puerta Maya or International piers must take a taxi to the Ferries Pier, this is a 10 minute drive from the pier. passengers arriving to the Punta Langosta Pier are walking distance from the pier (5 blocks) or take a taxi to the Ferries Pier.

Any cancellation must be made with a 24 hrs notice. Less than 24 hrs the clients will be charged 50%. No shows will be fully charged and can be on a standby for any open space on the following tour. For rescheduling due to bad weather please notify wild tours first. Cancellations due to weather conditions or no show by the cruiseship will not be charged to your credit card.

Your credit card information is ONLY to secure your space in the tour or in case of no show, Full payment must be made to your tour representative with cash or travelers checks upon arrival to your meeting point on your tour day.
